Tuition per student / participant
Basic, advanced and medical theory£4,200 payable as to £525 initial payment and balance payable as to £175 per calendar month for 9 further months, payable monthly in advance by standing order, the first instalment payable at beginning of the fourth calendar month by standing order.
Should students/participants complete the course (as is quite possible) within 24 months, the balance of fees is still due and payable. The monthly instalment plan is a concession to enable students/participants to fund their training.
NOTE: All fees quoted are inclusive of VAT and any discounts are applied before VAT is calculated.
Discounts
Tuition fees may be reduced by up to 5% for six or more students/ participants entering the course together at the same location. Should students/participants fall below six persons the above discount will not be maintained and the amount payable will revert to the full fee for the remainder of the course. Replacement students/participants will be accepted on the course upon payment of a start-up fee of £525 (inclusive of VAT). Thereafter the replacement student/participants monthly fee will be payable.
If beginning students/participants provide their own computerised Steno machine a discount of 10% will be allowable off the fees.
Loans
Career Development Loans may be obtained to cover the cost of this course and the purchase of a shorthand machine. It must be remembered that loans have to be paid back!
Withdrawal
Students must give one calendar month's notice in writing, or one months fee in lieu of notice, to withdraw from course. All loan equipment and tutorial books/cassettes to be returned in good order with such notice and, upon such receipt, no more monthly fees will be payable. Any refund of fees if the total fees were paid in advance will be at the Principals discretion. In the event a student/participant discontinues the course, there shall be no obligation to pay any monthly instalments coming due after written notification of the student/participants election to discontinue the course.
Students from abroad
Cost of course is £4,500 per student payable as to £1,000 down and the balance of £3,500 payable by seven quarterly (in advance) instalments of £500. Price is per student and is inclusive of VAT, but does NOT include loan of a machine. Students must purchase their own machine. Arrangements will be by agreement as to the Principal travelling to the country of the student to start them up with further visits to be by arrangement.
